Rock Band 2 free bonus tracks still missing in action

When you buy Rock Band 2, you get to download 20 additional songs from the extensive library of content that was produced for the original. Except you can’t. It’s supposed to be here, but they’ve been asking you to “check back in a few days” for two weeks now.

What is the deal? I know it’s still early in the game’s life, but this was one of the selling points. Plus, most DLC purchases come in the first month of a game’s life. It seems like this would be an excellent way to introduce more casual players to the online library.

Debate Night 2008: “Meh.”

I have a sneaking suspicion that I’m not the only first-time debate watcher out there. Friday’s smackdown between the two candidates, who are about as different as two people can be, was a little anticlimactic. I guess I was hoping to lose my debate virginity to something special.

I followed the debate on CNN and on Twitter, both of which provided real-time audience reactions from admittedly small and self-selected group. On CNN, a line graph shows reactions from a group of 32 people who turned dials to express their approval or disapproval of what a candidate was saying.

Steelers steal game from Ravens

Rookie quarterback Joe Flacco threw his first career NFL touchdown and the Ravens’ defense recorded three sacks and an interception, but it was not enough to hold off the Steelers in Monday nights overtime loss.

The Ravens took a commanding 13-3 lead into halftime, but in a tale of two halves, they were outscored by the Steelers 17-10 in the final two quarters of play.

Accidental Overdose? Insurance Ain’t So Sure.

A lot of negative energy is directed at insurance companies these days. Mostly health insurance. Nearly all of us have dealt with it at some point, and have encountered the Catch-22 of, say, not being able to get coverage for an ambulance ride unless it is pre-authorized by the insurance company. I swear I am not making this up.

But health insurance isn’t the only racket out there. Anyone who’s had something stolen, or, God forbid, had a family member die, knows all about the evils of insurance in general. Life insurance isn’t as commonly maligned as health insurance, but it’s just as bad.

The Bills, Titans and Ravens have yet to lose, but the Ravens still have to survive the Steelers in this week;s Monday Night Football game.

East: The Bills are playing a not-so-perfect thus-far-perfect season, yet they have not played a divisional game to date. The Pats, Jets and Fins are all 1-1 divisional play.
