And all the horror buffs rejoiced. Yeah, I hear you–it’s great news, all right.
For those of you that may not be familiar, Poultrygeist is a little film from a little studio called Troma, who was responsible for a whole lot of direct to video crap movies back in the days before everybody and his mother churned out direct to video crap movies. Back before there were entire STUDIOS that did nothing but churn out direct to video crap movies even, and that is a long time ago.
But anyway, Troma’s been trying to get some support behind the release of their film Poultrygeist for some time now, and now, it may have finally happened. It will be released on DVD October 28th, just in time for all your Halloween parties.
And if you don’t think this is one to slip in the DVD player after the party gets good and boozy, then check out the plot synopsis:
“…it takes place when the American Chicken Bunker, a military-themed fried-chicken chain, builds a restaurant on the site of an ancient Indian burial ground, local protestors aren’t the only ones crying fowl! The previous tenants, fueled by a supernatural force, take “possession” of the food and those who eat it, and the survivors discover that they must band together before they themselves become the other white meat!”
Only Troma could do this. So get it on your Netflix queues and go bug your local video store for a copy!
Help out the little studio that gave us the horror revolution.
And until then, try the horror movie trivia on Kwanzoo.
