It is a really, really slow news week in entertainment. I mean really, terminally slow. You can tell it’s slow because of some of the headlines – one, from the Associated Press, explains that “Jamie-Lynn Sigler praises purple.” Yes, an entire news article about how Meadow Soprano likes the color purple. Not even a blurb!
“We’re still seeing color for the fall, which I like, because fall doesn’t necessarily have to mean `dreary,’” she said. “It’s not a mourning time. Fall for me is one of my favorite seasons — especially in New York. So I’d like to see still some color. I’m seeing a lot of purple, which I love — it’s my favorite color.”
THIS IS HARD-HITTING STUFF, FOLKS.
But there’s more! Seems that Microsoft’s newest ad campaign, starring comedian Jerry Seinfeld, is being badly reviewed by bloggers. Well, let’s judge for ourselves – maybe we, too, will end up in a slow news day article.
Huh.
In yet another shocking development, actress Debi Mazar, star of Entourage, fully supports Sarah Palin’s decision to not turn her pregnant daughter out on the street.
Mazar knows all about teen pregnancy. Her mom had her when she was just 15 years old.
“I think it’s completely fine,” Mazar told me earlier today of 17-year-old mom-to-be Bristol Palin… “And I think Sarah Palin made a good choice in being supportive of her daughter…and I agree that it’s private because those are her children. Her daughter fell in love and had sex. Big deal—it happens.”
You heard it, kids: a Hollywood actress thinks it is perfectly okay to get knocked up at 15. Emotional maturity? Who needs it?!
Well, that’s about it for the horrifyingly irrelevant (and just horrifying) “news” of the day. I’m going back to bed.
