AFC EAST (Preseason pick)

Midway pick-   I’ll go with Buffalo. The Bills have beaten several decent teams (San Diego, Jacksonville, St. Louis) but have loss to several decent teams (Arizona and Miami). If they can win two of three against NYJ, Buffalo and Cleveland, they’ll be in good shape with two free squares on their bingo chart against against KC and SF.

AFC NORTH

Preseason pick

Midway pick-   I’m not sold on the Steelers. They seem the most likely to win the division, but they nearly lost to the Ravens on Monday night a few weeks ago. Flacco may be a rookie and the Ravens passing is not quite effect (27th), but their rushing attack (5th) and their defense is legit (3rd in points, 2nd in total yards, 3rd in passing yards and 1st in rushing yards). I’ll go with the Ravens.

AFC SOUTH

Preseason pick

Midway pick-   There are very few teams which I always want to lose, namely, the Titans. There are very few teams I can’t pick against, namely, Jacksonville. I’m still waiting for them to win by more than seven and it’s very like to happen in the next two weeks (Cincinnati & Detroit). If they can beat the Titans in three weeks, they could win their next four (likely). If Tennessee happens to lose the next four in a row, the Jaguars could be tied for first in the South (not likely). I’ll take the Jaguars.

AFC WEST

Preseason pick

Midway pick-   You won’t see much support for the Broncos from me. They have a major problem – they can’t hold on to the ball. Expect them to fumble more games away in the near future. I’m still waiting for the Chargers to realize the season has begun, but I believe they still can win this division, even if they go only 8-8 or 9-7. I’ll take the Chargers.
