Video Games: Black Friday Gold

If you’re ready to brave the post-Thanksgiving crowds tomorrow, you’ll find some deals waiting for you on the video game front. You know… when you’re buying gifts for other people. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Fortunately, Destructoid has already done all the hard work and has compiled a list of Friday’s deals. Here’s some of the highlights.

Circuit City is putting Okami for the Wii on half price, selling it for only $20. This is a charming little game that never got much recognition on the PS2 or its rerelease on the Wii. Give it a shot. You’ve got to get bored with the bowling game eventually, right?

Target is putting Dead Space for the PS3 and 360 up for $30, another 50% off savings. We did a bunch of posts on this one, and we give it a thumbs up. It’s not the longest game in the world, but $30 is a good deal for the experience.

Amazon.com is knocking $20 off of Fallout 3, making it $30 for the PC version and $40 for the 360/PS3 console versions. Seriously, if you’re at all tolerant of RPGs, this is going to be the best value all year for dollars per hour of entertainment. Plus it’s Amazon, so you don’t have to leave the house.

Looking over to Cheapassgamer, there’s a whole bunch more deals. Best Buy has Bioshock on the PC for $10. Not bad for a title that got multiple game of the year awards in 2007.

Best Buy also has DDR Supernova with a mat for $15. That would actually make a good gift for kids. Everyone’s already got a PlayStation 2 to use it with, and maybe it’ll help ‘em get a little exercise.
