The film that kicked off mainstream America’s fascination with J-Horror blazed the way for tons of remakes and imports, for better and only occasionally for worse. So you think you’ve got The Ring down cold? You can find the answer to this and other The Ring movie trivia now!
9. What is the license plate of Annie Lansing’s Mercedes in Creepshow 2?

George Romero. Stephen King. A match made in…well…I’m not sure just where it was made, but a series of stories shot lightning-quick through horror buffs’ subconscious in a celebration of the EC horror comics. It’s time to get creeped out!.
8. The reapers feed on what in Blade II?
If you never thought Wesley Snipes could play anything but action roles, the “Blade” series allowed him to stretch out into horror. Sure, there was more gunfire than horror buffs are used to, but this Marvel franchise kept the action high and the plot line slim in a rampant roller-coaster movie franchise. See if you can keep up with the trivia action on Blade II.
7. What was the final body count by the end of Friday the 13th?

New Line Cinema (c) 1980
Masks and machetes became an integral part of the horror landscape after superhuman monster killer extraordinaire Jason Voorhees took the stage. You’ve got to know this one, and the only way to find out is here.
6. In Hostel: Part II, while the girls were on the train to Prague, a man came into their quarters while Lorna was alone; what item did he take from her?
Hostel and its sequel–either you love it or you hate it, there’s not much middle ground. Eli Roth’s launching of the good ship Torture Porn left an indelible mark on the entire horror world. Are you ready for Hostel: Part II?
5. When Freddy calls Nancy in A Nightmare on Elm Street, what part of Freddy comes through the phone?

New Line Cinema (c) 1980
Before A Nightmare On Elm Street hit, Robert Englund barely registered on the Hollywood map and Wes Craven was doing only the cheesiest of exploitation flicks. This is the one that got them both started. Have you had your nightmare already?
4. Mike watches a procession of ghostly figures do what in 1408?

Dimension Films (c) 2007
Stephen King fans, rejoice. John Cusack kicked off a possible renaissance for the somewhat defunct horrormeister King–this is the first of two such movies in as many years. This shouldn’t take you 1408 seconds to find out the answer!
3. What was written on the walls by the first freak chipped couple featured in Hellsing: Impure Souls?

Kouta Hirano (c)
Anime is a wide and strange country, but Hellsing packed them in by tossing in lots of gore and vampires. The “Blues Brothers” reference doesn’t hurt either–Jake and Elwood were on a Mission From God long before the Protestant Knights got started. We have got your fill of Hellsing trivia for you!
2. True or false: This rhyme from the film Dead Silence is correct - Beware the stare of Mary Shaw. She had no children, only dolls. And if you see her, never scream. Or she’ll rip your tongue out, at the seam.

Universal Studios (c) 2007
Seven words: “From the guys who brought you Saw”. Nuff said. Though if you want more you can get more in the form of evil dolls (ventriloquist dummies, actually, but who’s counting?) and lots of creepy stretches of silence stitched into a background that made Silent Hill look like Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Time for some Dead Silence!.
And finally….
1. What Dawson’s Creek actress also appeared in Halloween: H20?

Dimension Films (c) 1978
Big points to this one for several reasons–it’s part of a long-running franchise and a breakout hit for John Carpenter and Jamie Lee Curtis, it’s got a reference to a once-popular television show now rotting in syndication and you know what? When I played it, even I got it wrong! But you can crack the code on this one, right?

Sometimes I forget how many horror movies I’ve ingested over the years, at least until I see something like this. Always a fan of factoids and quizzes. So very good deal mate.
And seriously, those dolls from Dead Silence are just creepy.
Those dummies were indeed creepy, la_b. Especially when you see the lot of them in that wall display.
What’s particularly telling is not that you forget how many horror movies you’ve ingested, but how much you’ve forgotten about them. Seriously–I think I’ve seen “Halloween H:20″ four, five times but even I had no idea on that Michelle Williams bit.
How much you know will amaze you. But it’s how much you DON’T know that’ll just blow your mind.
