A Sonic To Look Forward To
The people desperately awaiting Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood lie in two distinct camps that do not actually overlap. On one side are the true blue fans of Sonic the Hedgehog. The people who not only purchased Smash Bros. Brawl, but an entire Wii, merely to beat the snot out of Mario with the true victor of the 16-bit console wars. This group somehow hasn’t been deterred from more than a decade straight of sub-par Hedgehog adventures.
On the other side, the place I currently reside, are BioWare fans. People who learned to love Star Wars through Knights of the Old Republic and found that alien sex in Mass Effect isn’t quit as explicit as FoxNews would have you believe. I love BioWare, I love having choices in my RPGs, so I will gladly purchase Sonic’s adventure despite being burned out on awful games long, long ago.
Which side will win out? Will Sonic’s plague of suck infect BioWare? Or will the RPG Masters drag Sonic up to a once again respectable level? Either way, I need a first row seat to the festivities.
