Apparently Wesley Snipes Doesn’t Know The Meaning of “Convicted and Sentenced”.

Seriously.  It’s like the guy’s operating on some kind of weird mental block that keeps him from understanding that he’s a convicted tax evader.  Because not only is he miraculously still out on bail whilst his lawyers appeal his case, he’s appearing before the judge that sentenced him to–get this–be allowed to leave the country to finish filming two movies.

Apparently, he’s still in the midst of filming Gallowwalker in London, and Chasing the Dragon in Bangkok, and this whole tax evasion thing is getting in the way!  Of course, Snipes has a decent point–if he can finish filming these two titles, he’ll have more than enough cash to pay off the IRS, and isn’t that what they’re after in the first place?  But, of course, justice isn’t always simple or reasonable, and thus, the IRS wants their own.

I genuinely don’t know what to make of all this–on the one hand, he’s quite convicted. He’s been sentenced. If it’d been anyone else they’d be making their appeal from INSIDE prison, not outside. And definitely not tooling around the world shooting movies.  But on the other, the IRS wants money, right? What better way to get it than to let him finish two half-finished projects?

Ah well…you know I’ll be watching this one closely and filling you in.  Big Lupe already has a ring picked out for Wesley, and the Blade trivia on Kwanzoo is still ready and waiting.

  1. You are a complete idiot. First of All Wesley Snipes was never charged with Tax Evasion. He was only convicted of 3 counts of misdemeanor failure to file. In two of the years he was convicted he owed no money you A-Hole. All you want to do is make yourself look good by bashing him. Get a life. He is out because his convictions will be reversed!

  2. I don’t know what’s funnier–that you think you’re precognitive enough to be so spectacularly certain that his convictions will be reversed, that you actually referred to me, IN PRINT, as an “a-hole”, verbatim, or that you’re a Wesley Snipes fanboy. Any one by itself is a laugh riot. All three together is a recipe for pants-wetting comedy. Thanks for the laugh!

  3. Yes, clearly, making fun of Wesley Spines DIRECTLY improves your own public image.

    Shame on you, Steve!

  4. ….Wesley SPINES?

It was a mistake, but it is a pretty cool mistake.
