It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a Christopher Reeve look-alike! When Brandon Routh’s face first appeared in magazines, everyone was stunned at the resemblance. It seemed like perfect casting for Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns.

In 2003, Routh won a Halloween costume contest that he attended dressed as Clark Kent/Superman.
He loves fried foods and pot roast, and some of his favorite shows are Heroes and The Amazing Race.
Though there are no firm plans for a sequel to Superman Returns, Routh has already signed on for the next two potential Superman films.
He is an avid player of the controversial online RPG World of Warcraft.
Routh was a devoted Superman fan as a child. He collected comics, owned all the films, and wore Superman pajamas.
He and his girlfriend, Courtney Ford, married in Santa Barbara in November 2007. They have starred together in a few independent projects, including Denial and Lie To Me.
Routh’s sister Sara is a singer, who recorded a track for the Superman Returns compilation album.
