Expect rumors and information about GTA IV to hit at an almost hourly rate between now and when it finally hits stores in 11 days. No news today but there is one juicy rumor: the exclusive downloadable content Microsoft shelled out $50 million to obtain will reportedly be an entirely new city. How about that?

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find out this is true. The new DLC was supposed to extend the life of this game with new missions, characters and scenarios. What better way to expand a game than add to the physical map? And if Burnout Paradise can add new island for racing and stunts for absolutely no additional money, Rockstar should be able to give us a pretty new environment since they’re affixing a hefty price.

I feel bad for PlayStation 3 only owners if this does pan out. It’s one thing to miss out on a couple escort missions, but it’s another thing entirely to know your Xbox 360 owning friends are tooling around a brand new world. For the sake of gamers everywhere, I hope this rumor is true, but the exclusive deal is only temporary. Everyone deserves some GTA love.
