Keeping a Tight Watch on Eagle Eye
Here’s one from the Strange Pairings department: Guess what bald supercop (and former Commish, if you remember) Michael Chiklis and Indy wannabe Hole-digger Shia LeBeouf have in common?
Director D.J. Caruso, that’s what. Courtesy of CHUD.com, I recently discovered that D.J. Caruso, director of Chiklis’ The Shield and LeBeouf’s Disturbia is looking to bring them both together for upcoming film Eagle Eye.
With That Kind of Catalyst, Who Knows What’ll Happen?
Couldn’t have said it better myself, o my readership—nothing I’ve listed above containing Chiklis, LeBeouf or Caruso was all that bad. Putting them all together in one big political thriller-movie package that looks to be like a Jack Ryan movie gone insane just might be a recipe for a really big charge.
Or maybe just yet another box office bomb, who knows?
But I can buy it. The political thriller market has been somewhat flat of late, and with an election a-comin’ faster than anyone cares to admit (have you gotten your remote drone call yet? I sure have. Lots of them. At all hours.), it may just be the right time for a movie about Washington and all its many crimes and intrigues. And not just the ones under the big white dome, either!
So until we can run down and punch our tickets for President or for Eagle Eye, get better acquainted with earlier Disturbia trivia on Kwanzoo.
