Metallix TD
I recently discovered a new flash game called Metallix TD. It takes the tower defense gameplay from Warcraft III and makes it into a short, easily, and assessable game that can be played in any browser. It turns what Warcraft III players have been spending days on into a casual flash game.
In Metallix, the player has a choice of three different towers with four different aspects to upgrade for each tower. There are so many possibilities on what to upgrade, but every choice makes a huge impact on how your towers can handle each round. Upgrading a towers range can help with slowly moving groups, and placing towers between two paths. On the other hand, faster moving targets will quickly move out of a tower’s range and require either higher damage or a fast tower to keep up with them.
The one thing that separates Metallix TD from any other tower defense game is the movement. Each round the units are taking a different path to get to the finish. The player must choice whether the upgrade the speed of their towers to move with the units or whether they can maneuver their towers into the perfect location. The game is free and I recommend you check it out.
You can play the game here.
