Monday Night Favre-ball?
The San Diego Chargers beat the New York Jets 48-29, as they finally picked up their first win of the season. I expect more to come real soon, like next week against “Lame” Kiffin and the Raiders.
The Chargers defense held the Jets rushing attack to just 41 net yards and forced Brett Favre to throw two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown.
Charger Antonio Cromartie recorded both interceptions.
The Super Chargers defense also stopped Favre and the Jets on two 2 pt. conversions.
Charger running back LaDainian Tomlinson ran for two touchdowns, but gained only 67 yards on 26 attempts. Three games into the season, Tomlinson has still not broken the 100-yard rushing mark in any game.
Both Favre and Chargers’ Philip Rivers threw three touchdowns to three different teammates.
Both teams head into Week 4 with a disappointing 1-2 record.
