Murder! Malevolence! Evil! Vigilante justice! Halloween! Gets you really fired up, doesn’t it? Yeah, don’t I know it? And it’s all coming to us courtesy of Backwoods Entertainment, in the process of making horror flicks. Two of them, specifically—but the one to really watch is called Dead By Dawn.

Now, if you’re not catching a reference there, you’re not really a horror buff. In a shot to Sam Raimi’s immortal classic Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn, Backwoods is bringing out this particular tale of terror. Naturally, at this early stage of the game there’s not much to say, but there IS a synopsis which I got from the good people at www.horror-movies.ca

Basically, there’s murder afoot in Juniper Falls, and the citizenry isn’t taking it lying down. But their vigilante justice will awake an ancient malevolence, and rain evil down on the tiny hamlet. Oh, and this all takes place on Halloween.

Coming out? No clue, I’m afraid, but it could be a fantastic project when it gets done, and I’m looking forward to it. And until then, lots of horror movie trivia awaits on Kwanzoo!
