No, seriously! Free comic books! And they’re all available thanks to The Scream Factory, a group comprised of experts in film, music, books, and comic books alike. These are the same folks that brought us Bump, Dee Snider’s Strangeland, and a whole host of other projects under the Fangoria Comics aegis—before, of course, Fangoria Comics folded like a busted flush.

Currently on Wowio, the online comic distribution node, you can get your hands on the aforementioned Bump, as well as Beneath the Valley of the Rage and G.R.A.V.E. Grrrrls. More will be coming later, as The Scream Factory looks to conquer the horror comics market, which is pretty flat with a few notable exceptions.

I couldn’t be happier about this move, personally—think of the horde of cross-promotional opportunities here. Any film released from Scream Factory might well have a soundtrack, a comic book tie-in, and a novelization all released from—you called it—Scream Factory. They now have the potential to be a completely in-house marketing machine, assuming they can get some proper promotion behind their product lines.
