Movie Trivia: Justin Long is Off to Hell

Can you imagine this guy in a horror flick? So it’s clear that Sam Raimi is not the type to let grass grow under his feet. He just lost Ellen Page from his upcoming Drag Me To Hell feature, but he made a couple of replacements! He’s got Alison Lohman to—most likely, it’s not like anyone was real clear about who was doing what at this stage of the game–take over for Ellen Page, but there’s something even better afoot. And just guess who he got?

Justin Long! Yeah, that spindly kid from Dodgeball—he’s going to be in Sam Raimi’s Drag Me To Hell! I can’t imagine him in any kind of hero role…and a villain is even less likely. He projects all the menace of a wet dishrag, and all the heroism of a warm fish.

So what can he do? Sidekick, maybe? Minion? I’m sure going to have a hard time believing him as much else. And surely Sam Raimi can’t be looking to him to be his generation’s Bruce Campbell!

Speculation aside, kids, we’ve got plenty of Sam Raimi trivia to keep yourself well-acquainted before we find out what Justin Long can possibly be doing.

  1. Dodgeball what? That’s the Mac kid! He’ll always be the Mac kid to me.

Also this is the first time I’ve actually visited horror-movies.ca and their spelling/grammar made me want to gouge my own eyes out. There’s an idea for Sam Raimi’s next script.

  2. Hmmph, says I. Who put YOU on the Grammar Police? :D

  3. Fourth grade.

  4. I think there’s a statute of limitations on that one–appointments in fourth grade tend to run out before you hit, you know, sixth.

  5. That’s a common mistake. Appointments to the grammar police are for life.

Seriously, when you’re publishing a website it shouldn’t be any different than a magazine or newspaper. A website rife with spelling errors and typos is setting a bad precedent for the future of the press.
