Man, it’s a great day for clueless hypocrite celebrities making the media rounds! First I caught Charlize Theron screaming her hatred for the media to the media, now I’ve got Maggie Gyllenhaal doing the exact same thing! Check out her own ridiculous quote in WENN:

She tells Britain’s Empire magazine, “It’s hard to talk about how it’s (Ledger’s death) affected me personally. It’s been really hard for me.” “(And) the media has shocked me with the way that they’ve been disrespectful in some ways.”

Just for some background, here, she’s discussing Heath Ledger’s death. And how disrespectful the media has been in regards to its coverage of same. She’s having this discussion with Britain’s Empire Magazine, which apparently must not be part of “the media”. What IS it about moron celebrities who don’t consider British magazines to be part of “the media”? Do they think the island is some kind of media-free preserve, and any media that actually starts there is exempt from being painted with the broad brush because it’s British? Maybe it’s some kind of weird insane idiot logic that only makes sense to celebrities. Well, whatever it is, it makes for a good story, and that’s good enough for me. Now, to thank Maggie Gyllenhaal for being such a public maroon, let’s go play some Donnie Darko trivia.
