NFC EAST (Preseason pick)

Midway pick- With its injuries, it doesn’t seem like Dallas is going to be the force it ought to have been. Washington has a good team, as does Philadelphia, but New York will stay on top throughout the season. Their defense MAY be better than last year’s. I’ll take the Giants.

NFC NORTH

Midway pick- Minnesota is not sitting in the best position right now. The Bears (29th) can’t stop the pass and the Lions may have a perfect season (0-16). I’ll take the Packers.

NFC SOUTH

Preseason pick

Midway pick- The Bush-less Saints and the Falcons may not have what it takes to win this one. Both the Bucs and the Panthers have been playing solid defense. Neither team has been better than mediocre on the other side of the ball. The Bucs have a more favorable schedule, I’ll take the Bucs.

NFC WEST

Preseason pick

Midway pick- You can throw out the 49ers and Seahawks. They have proven to be worthless. The Rams have gathered wins against the best of the NFC. Could the Rams pull off a miracle? I don’t think so … I’ll take the Cardinals.
