NFL Week 14 Predictions
Oakland @ San Diego- Knowing how the season has won for the Chargers thus far, it seems quite likely that the Raiders could actually win this one with easy, however, I’m hoping that the Chargers will not sink to that end of the barrel and be able to squeeze out a victory against their intrastate rival.
Jacksonville @ Chicago- I have lost all faith in my Jaguars and for the first time recent recollection, I’m actually going to pick against them…gimme Da Bears.
Minnesota @ Detroit- I still have faith that the Lions are not capable of winning a game. The Vikings will win by many.
Houston @ Green Bay- Both teams head into the game with 5-7 records, however, the Packers are still a playoff contender while the Texans have almost been eliminated from post season play. The Packers need to win, should win and I’m going to stick with that notion.
Cincinnati @ Indianapolis- The Bengals have already recorded their one win and tie for the season and any more that they pick up should just be considered brownie points. It won’t be a sweet day against the Colts for the Bengals and I’m not expecting them to score many points at all. Colts win big.
Atlanta @ New Orleans- At 6-6 the Saints are on the verge of being eliminated from just about everything this season. The Falcons are still in the NFC South title hunt and a win over the Saints sure wouldn’t hurt the cause. Something tells me, though, that Drew Brees is going to have a big game and try to end the Falcons playoff hopes. I’ll side with the Saints here.
Philadelphia @ New York Giants- The Eagles don’t seem good enough to take on the Giants and if you need an explanation you obviously haven’t watched enough football this season.
Cleveland @ Tennessee- I want to pick the Browns to win, but I can’t figure out who their quarterback is. I’ll take the Titans this time…
New York Jets @ San Francisco- The 49ers somehow, someway pulled off a win against the Bills, don’t expect them to do it again this week. J…E…T…S…Jets, Jets, Jets.
New England @ Seattle- The Seahawks haven’t been playing good all season and it doesn’t seem likely that they are going to start showing up at this point in the season. The Pats are playing for a playoff/title and I’m expecting them to play like it’s a do-or-die game.
St. Louis @ Arizona- The Cardinals are in dire need of a victory after last week’s loss to the Eagles on Thanksgiving Day. With extra days to rest, look for them to soar over the Rams.
Dallas @ Pittsburgh- Game of the Week.
Washington @ Baltimore- This is a tough one and it may come down to the status of Redskins’ running back Clinton Portis. Portis has had numerous injuries over the course of the last few weeks and last Sunday appeared to get the worse of him as he laid out on the field. Without Portis, I’m leaning towards the Ravens, should Portis play, I like the ‘Skins to win.
Tampa Bay @ Carolina- Both teams are in a tie for first place in the NFC South holding 9-3 records. Last time the two met in Week 6 the Bucs romped to a 27-3 victory, but that is in Tampa and this one is (North) Carolina. Look for the Panthers to avenge their embarrassing loss against the Bucs last time.
