Pierce Brosnan’s Surprisingly Busy Schedule

A Surprisingly busy guy.Pierce Brosnan’s been a surprisingly busy guy of late—in fact, he’s so busy that he’s actually filming two different movies, back to back. And that’s a rough schedule for any actor to try and keep up. Just ask Martin Lawrence—I think that guy’s got a personal stake in every bad movie ever released.

But Anyway.

But anyway, yes…first off, Pierce will be coming at us with a Congo-esque action film in the form of Vanilla Gorilla, which features lots of the massive primates and of course Pierce Brosnan. Doesn’t sound half bad, frankly, especially if action movies are your thing.

And from the jungle, Pierce will be seguing right into—surprise, surprise—a sequel for the not-quite-box-office-hit The Thomas Crown Affair. I’m finding it really hard to believe that so many people watched the first one that a second one seemed like a good idea. But then, Pierce probably needed a couple paycheck parts—his career post-Bond hasn’t been all that stellar, really—and everybody’s got to eat.

  1. You’re mean, I liked Pierce Brosnan before that ranting Playboy interview, and Thomas Crown Affair is a very good heist film.

    :(

Then again, his fans were responsible for CraigNotBond, so I’m torn.

  2. I’m MEAN??? Oh man, Liz, is this your first day? :D

Seriously, where were you two threads ago when I ripped on Hayden Panettiere for doing yet another cheerleader flick? Trust me, I could’ve done way worse to ole Piercey, but I think the slow death that is his career is punishment enough. :D

  3. Yeah, but see, I don’t care about Hayden Panettiere. I discovered Pierce Brosnan back when PAX ran Remington Steele and he had big puffy hair and I don’t want anyone hurting him. :(

  4. I thought The Matador was a brilliant film and he was nominated for a Golden Globe for that. Hardly a career spiralling. “Shattered” was another good film. Mamma Mia will be great. Thomas Crown was fab - and so will the next one be - (even if it does have Angelina Jolie in it.) Pierce is lovely so I don’t want anyone hurting him either! He had every right to be fed up loosing the role of Bond in the way he did.

  5. I don’t think he had the right to act so pissy about the Bond thing, seeing as he’s getting on in years and his Bond films did get progressively worse. But I still like him. I think I always will.
