So I was bombing around looking for newsy bits to discuss–as I so often am–when I came across a little something on horror-movies.ca that got my ire up too.
Sometimes I agree with them over there…and sometimes I don’t. But when you get a load of this one, you’ll likely see why I’m on board this time around. Here’s the relevant portion, a good summation: Read more…
Seriously…I mean, I’ve seen out and out lunacy before and it really doesn’t faze me. So why am I having such a hard time understand what kind of daffy bastard could release something like War Monkeys? Read more…
Trouble afoot for Saw fans as the company looking to put together the first Saw videogame, Brash Entertainment, folds up due to “financial difficulties.”
The resulting game, originally due for release in October of 2009, as a result is on hold at the least and possibly gone at the worst.
December 9th is going to be a HUGE day in the video stores and in the various electronics stores and sections thereof, folks, because that’s the day that two major titles come out on DVD.
The first time you watch the new “Star Trek” trailer, you might think you’ve been pranked. Especially if you know nothing about Star Trek beyond the very basics. It’s very possible that the show outlined Kirk crashing in a sportscar at some point as a child, and meeting a weird spaceman, but for most people I think it’s a pretty cool device.
It seems I’ve got some reason to start training my eyes over across the pond as our English brethren seem to be having some fairly sizable censorship difficulties.
In fact, it’s starting to resemble comic book / Wachowski brothers epic V For Vendetta over there, and some of the similarities are getting so creepy I’m starting to wonder when the US gets whatever disaster it had coming to it in the series (I could never tell) because it definitely looks like The Ear is getting put into place when stuff like this happens: Read more…

The former producer of 28 Weeks Later, and director of 28 Days Later, expressed his full and unconditional committment to the project thusly: Read more…
Thanksgiving is on its way! And yes, I know that “Over the River and Through the Woods” is not necessarily a Thanksgiving song, but it doesn’t mention Christmas, so by default it must be. Also I am pretty sure it refers to pumpkin pie.
And yes, there are actually some Thanksgiving movies. If you find yourself lacking in holiday spirit, pop in one of these DVDs and bask in the holiday tradition.
Man, it’s not every day that I get to do a spit-take all over my computer desk (you have no idea how hard it is to get Dew out of Office Depot fiberboard), and this was one of those days.
I just read about how Clint Eastwood was, very possibly, going to wind up directing the upcoming thriller movie Hereafter and I just about completely lost it.
I really don’t know what to think about “Watchmen.” My suspicion is that it will be too faithful to interest average action movie fans, and not faithful enough to appease the kind of people who have every frame of the original graphic novel memorized. This latest trailer contains a lot more footage than before, but it’s still not quite clear what the movie is about to those who don’t already know.
