Reconsidering that Dead Rising Wii version now
Some good news and some bad news on that remake of Dead Rising for the Wii.
The good news is the game got a nice new name for its North American release. Instead of Dead Rising: Zombie Sacrifice, it’s going to be Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop.
The bad news is, they seem to have left out the zombies what you are to chop on.
Here’s a picture of the Wii version.
Now here’s a picture of the same general area in the original release.
The great thing about the Xbox 360 original was how it could put you in the middle of lots and lots and lots of zombies. That’s the whole point of zombies. They’re dumb, they’re slow and they’re no match for a human one on one. But there’s a million of them and they’re all coming this way and they won’t stop to eat or sleep or drink and OH GOD WHAT DO WE DO?
(You hole up, and if you don’t panic and you don’t make any mistakes you’ll be okay. But someone will make that mistake. Oh yes. In time, someone always does.)
I seem to have gotten a bit off track.
The original gave you a horde of zombies and a fully stocked mall in which to play, but no time to enjoy it. It would be a real shame if the remake gave you all the time you needed, but left out the horde.
