Resident Evil 4–Back Four More.

I love the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise and we always try to make the best possible movie we can. If we could find a good ‘Resident Evil 4’ to make, then we would do it,” he told The MTV Movies Blog. “But I wouldn’t just do it for the sake of it, that’s for sure. I don’t even know if anything will come of it, but there’s a possibility it might happen.

You hear that?  That’s the sound of the biggest cloud of insincerity to ever be unleashed upon man.   If you’re guessing where it came from, I’ll save you a lot of time and mental candlepower and let you know that it’s Paul W.S. Anderson.

Paul W.S. Anderson is, of course, the man who singlehandedly bungled the entire Resident Evil film franchise by taking a tautly-plotted, well-scripted game series with a handful of flaws and turning the whole thing into a giant Slipknot music video.  I find it especially inspiring that this filmatic misanthrope is spewing his garbage in the direction of the MTV Movies Blog, because MTV, after all, represents just over a third of the world’s known supply of stupid.

I find myself struggling to believe that Paul W.S. Anderson wouldn’t make Resident Evil 4 without a good script, because this qualification certainly didn’t stop him from butchering the first one and mangling the second two with preposterous subplots like “Nemesis is my Boyfriend!” and “I Have, For Some Reason, Developed Telekinesis!”

You want a good Resident Evil 4 to make?  Well, here’s a concept that’ll blow your wheels–why not actually make a movie based on the video game!  Instead of this crap you’ve been churning out that’s only loosely related to the games in mind, why not get Leon Kennedy taking on El Gigante and blasting mercenaries with an infinite-ammo Chicago Typewriter?  Now that’s a movie!

And to better acquaint yourself with the rolling cloud of mediocrity and sorrow that is Paul W.S. Anderson’s misbegotten excuse for a career, try the Paul W.S. Anderson trivia on Kwanzoo.
