Rock Band 2 free bonus tracks still missing in action

When you buy Rock Band 2, you get to download 20 additional songs from the extensive library of content that was produced for the original. Except you can’t. It’s supposed to be here, but they’ve been asking you to “check back in a few days” for two weeks now.

What is the deal? I know it’s still early in the game’s life, but this was one of the selling points. Plus, most DLC purchases come in the first month of a game’s life. It seems like this would be an excellent way to introduce more casual players to the online library.

Well, whatever. Here’s my list for when the free downloads finally turn on. The rest of the house will have to fill out the other half.

“Date with the Night” - The Yeah Yeah Yeahs
“Capital G” - Nine Inch Nails
“Through Being Cool” - Devo
“Girl U Want” - Devo
“War Pigs” - Black Sabbath
“Die, All Right!” - The Hives
“Message in a Bottle” - The Police
“Train in Vain (Stand by Me)” - The Clash
“Baba O’Riley” - The Who
“My Generation” (Live at Leeds) - The Who
“Heroes” - David Bowie

However, for you AC/DC fans who were hoping to spend some of your free 20 songs on the band, I have some bad news. There’s additional AC/DC tracks coming, but it’s going to be an exclusive physical disc only at Wal-Mart. It’s 18 songs for $30 to $40, and they won’t be available for direct download.
