Scientology Body Count Rises–Man With Swords Shot
You know, a lot of unpleasant things have been said about Scientology.
Allegations of mind control, embezzlement, and even death have swirled around the organization for years now, and show no signs of relenting. But when armed security guards shoot a guy out in front of their “celebrity center”, it definitely doesn’t help Scientology’s case one bit.
Now, to be fair–it’s not as though the guy in question was unarmed. Surveillance tapes and police records show him as carrying a pair of five-foot-long samurai swords. When a guy’s coming at you with a couple big-ass swords, there IS a reasonable threat there. But there’s a couple mitigating circumstances that make Camp Scilon look a bit…well…guilty.
One, there is some doubt as to whether the security critter that shot crazy sword man was actually, you know, LICENSED to carry a firearm.
Two, gun vs. sword…the security critter probably had a few other options before jumping right to “lethal violence”. There are things like “warning shot” or “disabling shot” that probably should’ve come up before “send the guy to the hospital where he dies from his injuries special attack”. He certainly would’ve had time before crazy sword guy’s sphere of influence came into play.
So, there’s a fair chance that Camp Scilon’s many lawyers will manage to weasel out of this–I will say though that if it WAS actual self defense I’m willing to accept it, though considering Scientology’s reputation I can’t say I’m willing to give them a lot in the way of benefit of the doubt. Especially considering some of their yield–Tom Cruise ring a bell?

The thing is, the dead Scientology customer was handing over his money as recently as 2004 and was almost certainly considered an active customer. His “threats” against the Scientology crime syndicate was probably the usual threats — “give me back my money or I’m going to sue you.”
Scientology kills its customers in ones and twos. All acts of violence against a Scientology ringleader, crime boss, staffer, or customer have always — ALWAYS — been committed by fellow Scientology customers. There has never been a single reported case of a non-Scientology customer ever assaulting a Scientology customer or building; background checks in to all acts of violence or property damage have always shown that either active or inactive Scientology customers have done it.
We see it time after time. The whole reason why the crime syndicate needs to turn some of its more insane customers in to “security guards” and give them handguns is to protect themselves from the very same Scientology customers that the crime syndicate drives insane with their “auditing” and “training routines.”
No legitimate church has any need to arm their customers to defend themselves against their own customers. But then Scientology is organized crime.
