The Rage - How Are They Not Getting Sued?
You know… I truly don’t know. I asked the question but I can’t answer it. And I’m referring to Robert Kurtzman’s upcoming direct-to-video title The Rage.
It’s A Knockoff
I got this plot description from the boys at horror-movies.ca, and I’ve read it over a few times. Take a look at it, and then see if you ask the same question I do:
How are these guys not getting sued?
Horror-movies.ca is effusing over this thing like it’s the second coming of Romero but for the life of me I can’t tell why. It’s a knockoff, man! Seriously! They took the rage virus out of 28 Days Later - they even call it The Rage! - and injected it into the birds from Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds!
Feel Those Tremors? It’s Hitchcock Spinning in His Grave.
Please tell me I’m not the only one who sees this! It’s a two-pronged knockoff but it doesn’t seem to matter over there. Is this what we’re down to? A movie’s creativity is established by how many ripoffs it can contain within itself? And to take a legend like Hitchcock and do that to it… well… that’s just sad.
But there’s still some hope - we got lots of great 28 Days Later trivia on Kwanzoo to play instead. Get in touch with the original before the remake hits shelves.
