I’m personally very fond of Amber Benson, one of the lesser-known additions to the Buffy The Vampire Slayer cast. Not only was she Tara on the show, but she’s also got a pretty extensive indie horror career going on, as well as some lighter indie fare, including a little movie called Chance.

I loved Chance. I’m not normally one for romantic comedies, but when it’s Amber Benson at the helm, getting her shooting budget by selling autographed Tara action figures, you know it’s going to be some sweet stuff.

But anyway…she’s got a new project that I think all my horror buffs in the audience are going to want to hear about. It’s called “Shifter”, and it’s slated for release in 2009. Check out the plot summary:

A brand new take on the werewolf mythos, following the brutal life of a mob hitman who is much more than human. He can be or look like almost any beast or man, and never be stopped. At least, that is, until a rival boss calls in something even worse than he is….

Now, that sounds like fun. And considering you’ll have names like Michael Madsen, Bai Ling, and of course Amber Benson involved, this definitely should be entire loads of fun.
