Would you watch a revamp of Beverly Hills, 90210? How about if Hilary Duff were in it?

For some people, the answer to those two questions is the same, but for others, the possible casting of Duff is making a difference. After losing the participation of Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas, the producers are hoping to breathe some new, hip life into their show. There’s no word from Duff on whether or not she’ll participate, but she hasn’t been doing much these days.

Meanwhile, an unnamed ABC pilot seeks Alyssa Milano in the starring role. Adhir Kalyan of the cult hit comedy Aliens in America will play a recurring role on Nip/Tuck - possible bad news for fans of Aliens, which hasn’t yet been picked up for a second series by the CW. Tricia Helfer, known as BSG’s Cylon Number Six, has signed on to the second season of USA’s Burn Notice.

Good news for Joss Whedon fans. Firefly star Nathan Fillion has signed on to star in a new ABC effort, Castle. He’ll play a mystery writer who assists the NYPD. No word yet on whether or not his Desperate Housewives role will continue.
