Two Worlds Redux: Two Words–Dammit, Why??

Two Worlds…not worthy of the Xbox.I think we’re all pretty much on the same page by saying that Two Worlds sucked sour frog eye. As a game by itself, the best it could be called was mediocre, and the worst cannot be accomplished without a skein of profanity so wide and caustic that even I hesitate to type it here for fear of melting the very fabric of the universe.

Comparing it to Oblivion, as so many tried to do before it hit shelves, is an insult so egregious that, if I were wearing gloves, I would demand satisfaction against whoever was actually brain-damaged enough to suggest a comparison was possible.

So excuse me if I wasn’t all that enthused to hear about Two Worlds: Temptation, the sequel to Two Worlds. Here’s the interesting part–Temptation was originally planned as a Shivering Isles-style expansion pack, but after the developers realized that copies of their game were being burnt for heat and game stores were giving copies away with a free five dollar bill just to get them out the door, they decided it was time to retool Temptation and make it, you know, an actual GAME this time as opposed to an abomination pressed onto DVD plastic.

Southpeak naturally expects this one to be better than the first–it really can’t be much worse without actually committing atrocities on-screen–and you’ll get to find out how it goes this fall. Until then, try the Two Worlds trivia on Kwanzoo.
