Video Game trivia: Silicon Knights would like to revisit Eternal Darkness, but…
Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem is one of the favorite Gamecube games among people who pride themselves on having played games that you haven’t. It also happens to be pretty good. The combat was a little awkward, but the fun part was when your character dipped into insanity and started tripping balls. Nothing like having your own head fall off and quote Shakespeare to liven up your evening.
Silicon Knights founder Denis Dyack said this week that the company is interested in making a return to the franchise.
But as great as a sequel to Eternal Darkness would be, the problem is that Nintendo owns it part and parcel, having even filed a patent on the sanity system.
Spiritual sequel, perhaps?

Serves you right for letting yourselves be bought by Xbox. Have fun being “creative” with another squad shooter over there
