Video Game trivia: Star Control 2

Like me, you might be too young to really remember Star Control 2.
You might have heard it has wonderfully goofy dialog. You might dimly recall it has a great open exploration system. Maybe someone told you once that it has a simple but engaging combat minigame. Or possibly you’ve seen it appear over and over again on lists of the greatest games of all time. You know, hypothetically.
What you might not know is that this classic is free online as an open-source project. If you haven’t tried it, why not give it a shot? All you have to lose is a few megs of hard drive space and your precious, precious time.

Oh no, man. I love SC2. The Orz alone are worth the price of admission–they’re the CUDDLIEST galactic horror ever!–but when you throw in all the other various dysfunctional races like the Ilwrath (Let’s play a game: it’s called, How Many Pieces Can I Take Off You Before You Stop Making Noise?) and the Mycon (Juffo-Wup fills my fibers and I grow turgid. Violent action ensues.) you get a game with a whole lot of unanswered questions that you’d love to get answered. Here’s hoping for SC 4!
