Guess who the tallest leading man in Hollywood is.

Yeah, I kind of gave it away in the title, didn’t I? Turns out it’s Vince Vaughn, who, at 6′5″, is slightly taller than my fiancé and slightly shorter than my dad. Make note of this; there will be a quiz.

It’s not that hard to be tall in Hollywood, especially given that actors are basically 3/5ths scale of the normal population. Take Seth Green for instance. He looks small next to actors, but if you got a look at him in real life, you’d barely even be able to see him. He’s that tiny. Meanwhile, Joaquin Phoenix, whom I used to consider normal-sized, looks like Mini-Me next to a 6′2″ Michael Caine in Quills. Actors are tiny. It’s a fact of life.

So how has Vince Vaughn been so successful? It’s probably equal parts fear and respect. Despite some of the sub-par projects he’s been in, he’s a very capable and talented actor - by turns funny, creepy, and charming. And recently, along with other actors and comedians like Peter Billingsley and Ahmed Ahmed, he’s just performed standup in 30 different cities. Didn’t make it out your way?
