World of Warcraft 3.0 is coming this month
With the November expansion for World of Warcraft on its way, Blizzard’s ten million players are due for a host of new features and game tweaks.
Thing is, we’ll be getting many of the features a little early. The next patch, believed to be coming Oct. 14, is going to make some drastic changes to the game in advance of the expansion. Dig this crazy action on the public test notes.
The changes to all of the classes are enormous, but here’s some of the things common to everyone.
- Talent trees are revamped and now go to 51.
- Stormwind suddenly has a harbor. Where did that come from?
- Achievements are in.
- Mounts and vanity pets don’t take up inventory space anymore. They’ve got their own interface windows now.
- Barbershops are operational. You can change your characters’ hairstyles now.
- The city formerly known as Dalaran is now a giant crater instead of a giant bubble.
- You can buy back any tabards or keys you’ve lost from certain NPCs.
- The new profession, inscription, is probably going live.
- The in-game calendar is operational.
- Raid buffs and debuffs are totally overhauled.
As usual, WoWInsider has more information than you could possibly need. I’m looking forward to taming some new of the new hunter pets and running a dungeon with my no-longer-gimped retribution paladin. How about you?
